Bolo Transmission Open Solicitation
Introducing Bolo Transmission
The Bolo Transmission Project, developed by Pattern Energy, will consist of a double-circuit 345 kV high-voltage alternating current (HVAC) line that is expected to connect the Western Spirit Switchyard on the Public Service Company of New Mexico’s (“PNM”) system and the Pete Heinrich Switchyard on the SunZia Transmission System.
The project will utilize an approximately 24-mile route. The Project expects to begin construction in 2026 and achieve commercial operation in 2027.
The Open Solicitation is for transmission service on the Project, including 800 MW of bi-directional capacity between the PNM Western Spirit 345 kV Switchyard and the Pete Heinrich 345 kV Switchyard.
Update: The Open Solicitation for the Bolo Transmission Project, originally scheduled to commence January 12, 2026 and close February 13, 2026, has been postponed. The Open Solicitation will now commence March 23, 2026, and close April 24, 2026.
Interested entities are encouraged to contact the Open Solicitation Manager at bolo-os@energystrat.com to be added to the distribution list for any further schedule and process updates.
